What activities are available at Lake Lyell?

Lake Lyell is a popular area utilised for fishing, water skiing, 4WDing, swimming, canoeing….the list goes on! Lake Lyell has plenty of fish for the angler in the family, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Australian Bass, Macquarie Perch, Goldfish and Redfin.

What Amenities are available at Lake Lyell?

Facilities include kiosk, boat ramp, amenities block with hot showers, toilets, disabled toilet, covered BBQ area, picnic benches, designated swimming area and a children’s playground

Can you add beds in the tent?

We can add up to two single beds in our Janali site at an extra cost per person

What payment methods do you offer?

We offer Paypal and Stripe payment. No deposit is required. Full payment up front is required to complete all bookings. 

Can you hire tents for personal events?

For all tent hire enquiries, please contact Danni directly on info@nomadicbelle.com with details of your request

Does the Lake Lyell campsite sell food?

The campsite reception has a small kiosk with a selections of hot foods and snacks that stops serving at 5:00pm

Where is lake Lyell?

Lake Lyell is situated on the outskirts of Lithgow approximately 2.5 hours from Sydney. 

Are there fridges at the campsite?

You will be supplied with an esky at the campsite. There are bags of ice available for purchase at reception. 

What is the deposit?

You do not require a deposit. When you book you are required to pay the full amount upfront

We are super excited, can we get there early or check out late? 

Check in is at 2pm and Check out is at 10am - from time to time we will be able to provide an early or late arrival or departure. After you have booked flick us a message at info@nomadicbelle.com or jump on the chat in the corner of your screen.

What should I bring? 

Be sure to check the weather and pack clothing accordingly, those winter nights can get chilly! 

Bring food and drinks with you - our advice is to precut or precook veggies to reheat on the stove, saving you time to relax. 

We provide all bedding, linen, cookware, kitchenware, utensils and lighting

Is there anywhere I can cook?

Yes, you have a BBQ with gas & an additional gas cooktop with gas, ready to use along with kitchen cookware & utensils.

Can we bring kids?

Yes, children are welcome however, due to space we are limited to only 4 people per tent and we will need to head out and set up some extra beds so this will incur an additional cost. 

What happens if it rains 

The tent is completely waterproof, grab a book and cozy up inside whilst listening to the theraputic sound of the rain hitting the tent - bliss! 

Can I stay for only 1 night? 

Yes, we have Winter stays available for 1 night between 1st June & 31st August 2021

What is there to do?

There is plenty to do around the area & Blue Mountains. From bush walks to day spas. We have created a list of things to do when you book with us.

Where can I get coffee?

Hometown Cafe & Lithgow Tin Shed are our faves!

Where can I get supplies

Lithgow town centre is approximately 7 mins drive from our site. Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Liquorland, Target to name a few shops in town.

Is there power?

No. All our equipment including lighting is battery or solar-powered. We encourage guests to bring along a car charger for their devices.

Is it pet friendly?

Yes, we love your furry babies. Dogs need to be on a lead at all times & you will need to pack their bed and clean up after them. 

Is there wifi or mobile reception

No, the beauty of staying with us in nature is you are able to completely disconnect 

Are there bathroom facilties?

Yes, the campground shower and toilet facilities are available for our guests. Showers require a $1 dollar coin and toilets are free of charge

Do we need to bring firewood? 

Firewood is available for purchase from reception

Where can we park? 

We have a space for one vehicle right beside the tent so from the moment you arrive you can relax, no walking and no lugging bags around. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes things can change. For changes made at least 2 weeks before arrival, there is no cancellation fee and guests can choose to either reschedule, receive a gift voucher for the full amount or a refund minus our processing fee of 5% of the total. For changes made 7-14 days prior to arrival, there is a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount. For cancellations within the 7 days prior to arrival this puts us in a really tricky situation to fill it at last minute so there will no refund or rebooking - partial or otherwise.

What happens if COVID affects my travel plans? 

With COVID still lingering we understand it can be stressful to make travel plans that could potentially be in jeopardy of being interrupted due to another lockdown or yourself or loved ones becoming sick. If you have a positive result for COVID you are entitled to a credit or reschedule. 

If there is a lockdown or restrictions, we will offer a full credit or reschedule for impacted bookings.
